Typical week tour at Saimaa

Arrival to Lappeenranta: Harbour is located almost right at the center of the town. You can enjoy shopping in the market place and local boutiques. Visit the historical Fortress and museums. There are various hotels, restaurants, cafeterias and Spa located close to the harbour.

1. Day: The boat is delivered at 14.00. Head off to the wide middles of the Lake Saimaa. Dine at Hotel Saimaanranta. Spend the night at the natural harbour of Ruuhansaaret. There are docks, sauna and fireplaces available for the boaters.

2. Day: After breakfast head to Puumala. Visit the Ecomuseum at Liehtalanniemi which presents the traditional archipelago countryside lifestyle. In Puumala there are restaurants, shops and good services for boaters. For the night stay at the idyllic Sulkava.

3. Day: Take direction to Savonlinna. Dock next to the Casino. Taste the local meatpie called lörtsy and enjoy the famous whitefish (muikku) meal in the restaurant Majakka. Savonlinna has especially lively nightlife during the Operafestival. There are various bars and nightclubs at the center of the town.

4. Day: Breakfast at the market place. Punkaharju is a popular destination for boaters. There is widely recognised center of the art Retretti and the summer park Kesämaa for the kids. Spend the night at the idyllic harbour of Tynkkylän loma, Vuorilahti.

5. Day: Head back to Puumala. Visit Linnavuori where you can enjoy the open lake views. Spend the night in Sahanlahti where you can enjoy the sauna and the company of other boaters.

6. Day: Enjoy the delicious breakfast buffet at the Sahanlahti restaurant. Head to Imatra Kylpylä Spa where you can relax all afternoon. Spend the night at the sheltered Satamosaari natural harbour.

7. Day: Return to Lappeenranta. Dinner at idyllic Restaurant Wanha Makasiini.
